GMTO creates a company account in your name, including installation of all required software.
How does it work?
We all know that technology in the automotive industry is developing very rapidly. A good example of this is the development in software and technical information. Example: a vehicle comes in with a difficult fault. After extensive searching, it turns out that the solution lies in a software update.
You have installed a new control unit, but it is not functioning yet. What do you need? Software! You perform maintenance — what is on the maintenance checklist these days? Checking for available software updates!
In addition to writing software, Pass-thru allows you to do much more:
- Fault code information
- Technical service bulletins
- Learning/coding
- Recalls
- Technical diagrams
- Maintenance schedules
What do you need?
To make Pass-thru technically possible:
- VOE adapter
- An account with a manufacturer
- Battery charger
- Stable internet connection
The above items are completely different from each other. If you only have a VCI, you cannot yet perform Pass-thru.

The VOE adapter is required for these vehicles. This can be purchased from GMTO via this link.
Account
Applying for an account with a manufacturer is often very complicated and time-consuming. GMTO takes care of this! GMTO has fully processed and tested many important brands.
Additional Pass-thru information:
The costs charged by GMTO are for fully preparing the Pass-thru account with the manufacturer. Please note that the manufacturer may charge additional fees for using the account, for example when loading software.
If, during IT or LIVE support, a certain process must be waited for, such as software installation, remote control of the PC can be stopped at any time so that the timer does not continue running.
Because GMTO works remotely, the garage company is responsible for ensuring that all conditions for correct Pass-thru execution are met, such as connecting a battery charger. For this reason, GMTO cannot be held liable for the actions performed.
The time purchased for LIVE support remains valid indefinitely.
LIVE support is only for Pass-thru operations and IT support, not for other automotive issues.
At the end of each LIVE support session, GMTO will indicate how much time remains. When no time remains, two hours will automatically be added and invoiced until cancellation.
When (part of) the quotation is accepted, the delivery time is approximately 4 weeks (unless stated otherwise). This is partly due to long processing times for account applications.
Important
Costs for extended access are additional. This registration is required before you can access Pass-Thru Flash for Lynk & Co.
Extended access with the manufacturer:
For extended access with Lynk & Co, an Independent Repairer registration must be completed with Lynk & Co. This is required if you wish to use Pass-Thru Flash.
These costs are charged by the manufacturer. These costs are not invoiced by GMTO, therefore the price stated below may differ from the actual price.
