Modern cars, as we know them today, are packed with electronically controlled systems. These systems are interconnected via data networks such as CAN bus, MOST, and LIN communication. Additionally, electronics are integrated with mechanical systems, forming control and measurement systems that can lead to both electronic and mechanical issues. This makes modern cars highly complex machines.

Even with GMTO training and advanced communication and diagnostic tools, some issues can be so complex that resolving them independently is not always possible.

The Technical Helpdesk is dedicated to supporting and advising subscribers over the phone when dealing with complex vehicle malfunctions. The goal of this assistance is to quickly provide solutions in close cooperation with the subscriber. The percentage of resolved cases is remarkably high. Experienced helpdesk staff provide advice using GMTO's unique database, which includes wiring diagrams, measurement values, and original documentation for almost all common vehicles.
